My name is Erika Lopez. I am from Mexico but I live in Las Vegas, NV.  My native language is Spanish and I feel more comfortable speaking in Spanish (I wonder why) and most of my videos are in Spanish but I am doing my best to have them in English as well. 

When I started this adventure it was for the sake of using a large amount of aluminum pop tabs my sisters had saved, I never imagined that eventually recycling while crocheting was going to my my passion and the fact that there are people that like what I do is more than I could ask for.

I have always cared for our planet: separating trash, using less plastic bags, etc. and I consider myself an advocate of recycling.  This is the way I visualize things:  Planet Earth and its resources are like a cake that needs to be distributed among people in this planet, the more people, the less cake we get. More people, more pollution, so why not do something in our part to pollute less?  Just my way of seeing things. 

I have two boys and a wonderful husband and I love animals so you will perhaps see me share some posts about ‘Lost and Found Pets’, Spaying and Neutering, and Adopting.  I have worked in the Administration field before but now I am dedicated 100% to my passion of converting what many consider trash into beautiful, functional and useful items. I also love crochet.
